We are looking for a customer-focused retail Sales Associate to be responsible for all sales job duties, from providing excellent customer service for a basic watch battery purchase to closing a big engagement sale. Sales Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our merchandise and recommend the best options based on your interactions. You should be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales associate, you should stay up to date with jewelry trends, continue to grow your knowledge of our ever-changing merchandise and pride yourself on providing our customers with the best experience possible any time they're in our store.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assess customers’ needs and provide assistance accordingly
• Welcome customers to the store and address any questions or concerns
• Follow and achieve store sales goals on a monthly basis
• “Go the extra mile” to drive sales and maximize customer satisfaction
• Remain knowledgeable on merchandise offered and discuss available options, including custom work
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases and repair in-takes
• Handle returns of merchandise
• Build productive trust relationships with customers and coworkers
• Comply with store policies and procedures

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role is a plus
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Basic Math skills
• Experience with POS transactions
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely and constructive manner
• Availability to work flexible shifts including early evenings and Saturdays (Some Sundays required during peak Holiday season)
• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
